Veterinary Technicians are involved in almost every aspect of patient care here at Yalesville Veterinary Hospital. They work closely with the doctors to provide your animal with the best care possible. Educated and skilled, the technicians (and technician assistants) medicate the hospitalized patients, obtain blood samples for testing, perform laboratory blood tests in house and prepare samples to go to outside laboratories. They also assist the doctors in surgery, including monitoring anesthesia, performing dental scaling and polishing, preparing medications to go home with patients, taking radiographs (including dental). They also perform other routine care such as nail trims, cleaning ears, anal gland expressions and ear flushes, etc.) Our technicians also are available to answer your questions and report progress to update the doctor. Our dedicated technical staff continually strives to treat your pet with the utmost respect and kindness.
Rosanne has worked at YVH since 2001 and she is the head of the technician team. She has 2 years prior experience working with another veterinary hospital. Rosanne is a licensed wildlife rehabilitator, cat groomer and she has experience with small animals and exotics such as iguanas and other reptiles.
Laura is one of the newest member of the YVH team. Having recently moved from Rhode Island to Connecticut she brings with her 6 years of experience. Laura graduated from Rhode Island College in 2005 and has a Bachelor's Degree in Biology and a minor in chemistry. Laura became a Certified Veterinary Technician in January 2006. Laura shares her home with her husband Joel and their dog, Sophie a jack russell terrier.
Carol has been a member of the YVH team since October of 2004. She has a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Animal Technology from Quinnipiac University and is a Certified Veterinary Technician, passing the National Veterinary Technician Exam in June 2008. Carol has a special place in her heart for cats and does feline pet sitting in addition to working her full time job. She has 3 daughters and shares her home in Higganum with them and her precious five cats: Fernando, Broccoli, Sootie, Tyrone (Baby) and Gracie.
Sue has been a member of the YVH team since June 2009. She graduated with high honors from the Vet Tech Institute in Pittsburgh, P.A. with a degree in Veterinary Technology.
Dani has been a member of the YVH team since March 2010. She graduated from Quinnipiac University, with a Bachelor's Degree in Veterinary Technology. She shares her home in Stratford with her baby, Tinkerbell (seen in this picture!)

Michael....Having worked in a veterinary hospital in Georgia, Michael brings 4 years of experience with him. He loves coming to work and being able to spend time with the various animals. He has a passion to help and a very caring personality.
Catherine...Has worked at YVH since April of 2006. She attended Lyman Hall High School and is currently going to the University of Connecticut and majors in Animal Science. She hopes to attend veterinary school starting Sept. 2012. She resides in Wallingford with her parents and siblings. She has two cats, Jazz and Mitch and two dogs, Chip and Josie.
Toni-Lee....has been at YVH since 2005. Toni-Lee is a loving mother and grandmother. She lives in Meriden and shares her home with her long time boyfriend, David and their three dogs, Grendal, Scraps and Taz.
Hannah....Hannah started with us in the fall 2010. She studied equine science for four years and worked in animal rescue for three years. She particularly enjoys working with rabbits and feral cats. She lives in Cheshire with an ever changing number of animals. She most enjoys reading to her cats.
