We're pleased to offer the following services at Yalesville Veterinary Hospital:
Our appointment book is computerized, which allows us to efficiently make appointments for you and your pet. Our receptionists and team will attempt to accommodate all requests to the best of our ability. Emergencies are accepted anytime our clinic is open. If you feel you have an emergency with your pet, please call us or come in immediately. If possible it is best to call before coming in so that a staff member can advise you on your particular emergency.
Emergency & Urgent Care
We have a veterinarian and personnel on duty seven days a week who are trained and equipped to handle any urgent care your pet has. Usually an emergency team consists of at least one veterinarian and several technicians working together to save a pet's life. Emergencies can be things such as accidental ingestion of rat poison, hit by car, and chocolate ingestion. If you ever feel that your pet needs emergency treatment do not hesitate to call or come in immediately.
We are also available for urgent care when the condition is not life-threatening. If you feel your pet needs to be seen before you are able to get an appointment, our veterinarians will work to "squeeze" you in between scheduled appointments. When you arrive, our receptionists will be able to give you an estimate on how long you may have to wait in order to be seen.
Our state-of-the-art surgical suite provides for the performance of a wide variety of surgical procedures. Our doctors have many years of surgical experience. For more specialized orthopedic and advanced soft tissue surgeries we have a board certified veterinary surgeon that will come in to perform these procedures.
Our dental services include teeth cleaning and polishing, dental X-rays, tooth extractions and minor oral surgery. Dental disease is a common problem in small animals and is too often overlooked.
We utilize a combination of the safest and most dependable available anesthetics to provide an extra margin of safety, especially for our older or at risk patients. Using the most modern equipment - the patients vital signs are monitored during all anesthetic procedures. All patients undergoing anesthesia are under the constant supervision of a technical staff member from induction (start of anesthesia) to recovery. While no anesthetic procedure is risk free, we can minimize the risk with careful attention to your pet's health status.
Along with utilizing a veterinary outside commercial laboratory we also have in-house laboratory services if we need answers quickly.
Our on-site, digital X-Ray equipment provides high quality radiographs to aid in the quick diagnosis of many disorders. Standard radiographic views as well as contrast studies and OFA hip/elbow studies can be performed at our hospital.
